How I garden
After several decades working as an Engineer and Chief Product Officer in major global technology companies, I’m now turning my eye to looking after gardens and creating natural design solutions for homes in and around Amber Valley Derbyshire, where I live, work and tend my own small plot of land. My garden is full of carefully thought-out structural solutions that support thriving, hardy, flowing perennials, alpines and grasses, and is designed for year round interest with plenty of planting that supports insect, bird and aquatic life.
As an engineer I value garden structures that are carefully designed and constructed, while not over-engineering the green space. Whether it’s laying a traditional brick path on a slope, or a sweeping curved metal box-bed, I enjoy designing bespoke features that suit your space and preferences.
In addition, having worked from home for several years, I understand the importance of having people around your home space who can give you a hand while still being respectful of your surroundings, and without making too much noise. I specialise in nature-oriented gardening with no petrol mowers, no loud radio, no chemicals, just nature-lead support for borders, beds and lawns.
where minimal geometries meet perennial planting

I believe gardens should support wildlife and biodiversity while still providing people with spaces to relax and restore. Whether you’re cultivating a peaceful haven, a minimal no-fuss space, a vibrant cottage garden or simply trying to keep the weeds under control in a busy home, I can help you nurture your green space.
